Celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community of Berks County since 2006.
Reading Pride is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting the LGBTQ+ community and allies in Berks County. While we are best known for Berks Pride Fest—the oldest and largest Pride festival in the region—our work happens year-round through programs that promote visibility, connection, and support. Everything we do is made possible by the dedication and generosity of our community.

Pride Fest has been confirmed for Sunday, July 19th! Stay tuned for details! Be sure to check out our other events in the meantime!
Our next major overhaul is our volunteer program. Until that is ready, if you're interested in volunteering, either contact us or reach out to Kara.
Founded in 2006, Reading Pride has spent nearly two decades creating inclusive spaces where LGBTQ+ people can gather, be seen, and feel affirmed. As we reach our 20th anniversary in 2026, we reflect on a legacy rooted in community-building, advocacy, and celebration—while continuing to look ahead to the evolving needs of our community.
Our work extends far beyond a single event. In addition to Berks Pride Fest, we offer year-round programming that encourages creative expression, mutual support, and public visibility. This includes our annual LGBTQ+ Art Show highlighting local artists, peer connection groups that foster shared understanding and belonging, and visibility initiatives such as flag raisings and community tabling events throughout Berks County.
At the heart of Reading Pride is a belief that strong, connected communities change lives. Guided by our mission, vision, and core values, we remain committed to building a more inclusive and affirming future—and we invite you to be part of that work.
