Transgender Day of Remembrance
All Soul's Church
640 Centre Ave
Reading, PA

Each year on November 20, communities around the world observe Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), a day dedicated to honoring the memory of transgender and gender-diverse people whose lives have been lost to violence.

Reading Pride invites our community to come together for an evening of remembrance, reflection, and solidarity.

During the ceremony, we will honor those we have lost through the reading of names, candle lighting, speakers, music, and moments of reflection and silence. Together, we will remember each person not simply as a name, but as a life worthy of dignity, safety, love, and respect.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is also an opportunity to stand alongside the transgender and gender-diverse members of our community who are here with us today. As we mourn those who have been lost, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a community where everyone can live openly, authentically, and safely.

Reception & Community Gathering

Following the ceremony, guests are invited to remain with us for a reception and community gathering. Refreshments will be generously provided by All Souls Church.

This time together offers an opportunity to connect, support one another, reflect, and simply be in community after the ceremony.
